Commercial projects, sponsorship and optional Impact Contributions help us research, design, build and maintain technology that creates measurable social and environmental impact. By combining commercial expertise with purpose-driven innovation, BranchX Impact supports communities, research and the environment while helping develop the next generation of BranchX products and technologies.

BranchX Impact exists to create measurable social and environmental impact while also supporting BranchX's commercial growth, innovation and product development. Commercial work and sponsorship enable us to dedicate real engineering capacity to projects that would otherwise never be built — and to develop reusable technology that benefits both the sector and BranchX.

03 / How the model works
Commercial work, sponsorship and Impact Contributions fund delivery
Commercial projects, partnerships and voluntary client contributions help fund the research, design, development and maintenance of selected impact projects. Clients working with BranchX Limited can optionally contribute 2%, 5% or a custom amount of their project value as an Impact Contribution.
Every project supported through BranchX Impact contributes to a wider cycle of innovation. Knowledge, reusable technology and practical experience gained through impact projects help strengthen BranchX's products, research and commercial capabilities, allowing us to deliver even greater impact over time.

Many impact projects solve challenges faced by more than one organisation. Where appropriate, BranchX may continue developing reusable technology, platforms or products inspired by these projects, enabling more organisations to benefit while helping sustain future BranchX Impact initiatives.

05 / Sponsor an Impact Project
For businesses, public bodies and research partners
Fund or commission an existing BranchX Impact project, or bring one forward. Sponsorship supports delivery capacity, infrastructure and long-term maintenance, and can include recognition, reporting and research outputs.
06 / Apply for Project Support
For charities and community organisations
Charities, community groups, researchers and universities can apply for free or subsidised technology delivered through the BranchX Impact programme. We review applications on a rolling basis and select a small number each year based on impact, feasibility and fit.
07 / Commission an Impact Project
Paid commercial engagements aligned with social value
Organisations may commission BranchX to design and deliver technology aligned with their social-value, accessibility, environmental or CSR objectives. These are paid commercial engagements delivered through BranchX Limited under a standard commercial agreement.
Every commissioned project contributes to BranchX's wider programme of innovation, helping develop technologies that create lasting value for organisations, communities and the environment.

Our goal is complete transparency, showing not only the impact created, but also how innovation developed through the programme helps create sustainable long-term value for communities and for BranchX.

BranchX Impact remains an internal programme of BranchX Limited. As it grows we will keep reviewing the right long-term structure, including whether a dedicated legal vehicle becomes appropriate in future.
